Quick question. I know this vid is a 4 yrs old but wanted to know if you knew the answer to this question. Let's say I have the G-Raid setup to Raid 1 and one of the drives fails. Can I swap it out with a new drive and have the contents copy automatically? Or will I need to reformat/reconfigure both drives to Raid 1 again? Thanks in advance

Hi, How do I record my audio and video coming from the Roland mixer?

I have 2 units and one Thunderbolt cable. Can I transfer data between the TWO fast without using my PC? oR do I need another thunderbolt 3 cable and daiisy chaining the two oif them by using my pc to do so? wIll it affect the raid setups?

This is great. Useful and easy steps. Thank you! I wish I found your tutorial a bit earlier. I accidentally dropped this unit about 6 inches and the RAID controller hardware stopped working. I suspected that my drives were still intact (precious memories there!), so I was looking to revive the unit. I had to buy an identical unit from eBay at an extortionate price. Once I placed the sleds in the new drive bay, they mounted right up. It actually mounted with all my data intact. I have another problem. I have an older GSAFE, but I cannot find the RAID software for it anywhere on the internet. The Thunderbolt configurator doesn't see the drive. Can anyone on this thread assist me with a link? Can I just use Disk Utility? Otherwise, I guess I will junk the unit. Too bad, I love the GSAFE.

I have Md46 in 2023 it’s the best among them crunchy in taking any voiceover interviews or studio or podcasts or any music equipment. The best you can get in this is Md46.
